Alice Herring: Alice is the President of Ford, Gittings & Kane. She is a Registered Jeweler and a Certified Gemologist Appraiser. She is a third generation jeweler. Jan Fergerson: Jan has been with FGK since 1973, and she is the Secretary and Treasurer of Ford, Gittings & Kane. She is a Registered Jeweler, Certified Gemologist Appraiser, and a Fellow of the American Gem Society. She is passionate about helping you find or design your perfect piece of jewelry. In her free time, Jan loves being with her family and spending time outdoors with her children and grandchildren. Jerome Thomas: Jerome is our bench jeweler, custom designer and he has been with FGK since 2008. He is a Registered Jeweler, Member of the American Gem Society, a GIA Graduate Gemologist and a Certified Gemologist. Having worked at the bench over 30 years, Jerome is a talented craftsman and his expertise continues to shine through in all of his custom work. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys biking with his wife Cathy in his spare time.
Jimmy Madden: Jimmy is our “Rennaissance Man.” He is a Sales Consultant at Ford, Gittings & Kane. He has been with the company since 1998. When not working, Jimmy is usually watching Alabama football or cooking delicious meals for huge crowds.
Michele Rikard: Having grown up in the family owned company, Michele is often working behind the scenes as our Marketing Director and assists in product selection. She and her husband are the proud parents of our resident model, Miss Avery Cate. Michele can be reached at mRikardFGK@gmail.com.
Linda-Kay McLaughlin: Linda-Kay is a Certified Sales Associate, Member of the American Gem Society. She has taken the Pearls as One course by The Cultured Pearl Association of America and is working towards her Graduate Pearls Diploma from GIA. She has completed the GIA Jewelry Essentials and Colored Stone Essentials courses. Joining us in 2010, she is very knowledgeable about the designer lines we carry, including William Henry, Charles Krypell, Bulova and Accutron, as well as our giftware lines. While not working, Linda-Kay loves spending time with her husband and children. She also enjoys sewing and crafts.
Krista Lovering: Krista is a Registered Jeweler, Member of the American Gem Society. She is an Applied Jewelry Professional and a graduate of GIA Diamonds and Diamond Grading, and GIA Colored Stones and Colored Stone Grading. She will begin her Gem Identification Course in the Spring to become a Graduate Gemologist. Her bubbly personality makes shopping fun and easy. Krista is an Ambassador with the Rome Floyd chamber and loves being involved in her community. In her spare time, Krista enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her husband Brandon and their four children.
Gabrielle Young: Gabrielle is our in-house engraver at Ford, Gittings & Kane. She is a very talented artist studying jewelry design and repair under the guidance of Jerome. Gabrielle is an award-winning designer, having placed Second in her very first Georgia Jewelers Design Contest. She is also a Certified Sales Associate with the American Gem Society. She enjoys being a mom and spending time with her family.
Hannah Bing: Hannah is a Certified Sales Associate, Member of the American Gem Society and Applied Jewelry Professional with the Gemological Institute of America. She has just completed her Colored Stone Grading course and plans to continue her Gemological studies to become a Graduate Gemologist. Hannah married Cooper Bing in 2020 which makes her perfect to be one of our bridal consultants. Hannah is a lifelong learner. She loves being a new mom, playing games, and traveling with her family.
Christina Johnson: Christina manages the office at Ford, Gittings and Kane. She keeps everything running smoothly so the rest of our team may be at your service. She is a Certified Sales Associate, Member of the American Gem Society and is currently working towards being an Applied Jewelry Professional through GIA. When not working Christina enjoys spending time with her husband, crafting, reading and volunteering at a local feline shelter.
Jan Felts: Jan Felts is our pearl stringer, and she has been with FGK for over a decade. She takes special care to make your pearls and beads look like new by stringing them securely.
Dan Johnson: Dan joined the Ford, Gittings and Kane Team in June of 2023. His personality and customer service experience makes him a great asset to our team. He studied music at Troy University and he is currently a music minister at Armuchee Baptist Church. In his spare time, he loves gardening, cooking and spending time with his wife Holly.
