Alice Herring: Alice is the President of Ford, Gittings & Kane. She is a Registered
Jeweler, Certified Gemologist Appraiser and a Member of the American Gem
Society. She is a third-generation jeweler. When not working, Alice and her husband

Jan Fergerson: Jan has been with FGK since 1973, and she is the Secretary and
Treasurer of Ford, Gittings & Kane. She is a Registered Jeweler, Certified Gemologist
Appraiser, and a Fellow of the American Gem Society. She is passionate about helping
you find or design your perfect piece of jewelry. In her free time, Jan loves being with
her family and spending time outdoors with her children and grandchildren. Contact Jan

Jerome Thomas: Jerome is a Registered Jeweler, Certified Gemologist, Member of the
American Gem Society. Jerome is our bench jeweler, custom designer and he has been
with Ford Gittings and Kane since 2008. Having worked at the bench over 30 years,
Jerome is a talented craftsman and his expertise continues to shine through in all of his
custom work. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys biking with his wife Cathy in his
spare time.
Jimmy Madden: Jimmy is our “Rennaissance Man.” He is a Sales Consultant at Ford,
Gittings & Kane. He has been with the company since 1998. When not working, Jimmy
is usually watching Alabama football or cooking delicious meals for huge crowds.
Michele Rikard: Having grown up in the family owned company, Michele is often
working behind the scenes as our Marketing Director and assists in product selection.
She and her husband are the proud parents of Avery.
Linda-Kay McLaughlin: Linda-Kay is a Certified Sales Associate, Member of the
American Gem Society, an Applied Jewelry Professional and has her Graduate Pearls
Diploma with the Gemological Institute of America. Additionally, she has taken the
Pearls as One course by the Cultured Pearl Association of America. Joining us in 2010,
she is very knowledgeable about the designer lines we carry, including William Henry,
Charles Krypell, Bulova as well as our giftware lines. While not working, Linda-Kay
loves spending time with her husband and children. She also enjoys sewing and crafts.
Krista Lovering: Krista has been with Ford Gittings and Kane since 2014. She is a
Registered Jeweler, Certified Gemologist, Member of the American Gem Society. She
loves working with clients and her bubbly personality makes shopping fun and easy.
Krista serves as a board member of the Georgia Jewelers Association, an Ambassador
with the Rome Floyd Chamber and loves being involved in her community. In her spare
time, Krista enjoys volunteering with local organizations, traveling, and spending time
with her husband Brandon and their four children.
Hannah Bing: Hannah is a Registered Jeweler, Member of the American Gem Society,
and has her Graduate Colored Stones Diploma through the Gemological Institute of
America. Hannah serves on the board of the American Gem Society Southeastern
Guild. She is a lifelong learner; and has plans to continue her Gemological studies to
become a Graduate Gemologist. Hannah married Cooper Bing in 2020 which makes
her perfect to be one of our bridal consultants. She loves being a mom, playing games,
and traveling with her family.
Christina Johnson: Christina is a Certified Sales Associate, Member of the American
Gem Society and has her Graduate Diamonds Diploma through the Gemological
Institute of America. She manages the office at Ford, Gittings and Kane, she keeps
everything running smoothly so the rest of our team may be at your service. When not
working Christina enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, working in her yard
and thrifting vintage treasures.
Jan Felts: Jan Felts is our pearl stringer, and she has been with FGK for over two
decades. She takes special care to make your pearls and beads look like new by
stringing them securely.
Phoebe Harley: Phoebe is a Certified Sales Associate, Member of the American Gem
Society and is planning to continue her gemological studies. When not working Phoebe
enjoys reading and exploring downtown Rome.
Ansleigh McLemore: Ansleigh is the newest member of the Ford Gittings and Kane
team. She comes to us with two years of previous sales experience and is looking
forward to strengthening her knowledge in the jewelry industry by earning her Certified
Sale Associate and becoming a Member of the American Gem Society.
